July 2015 – Nikoline (pronounced Niko-lee-nuh) was a Norwegian tourist, visiting the Southland with her mother and brothers, when our paths crossed. This pleasant, smart young lady is an aspiring medical student, following in the footsteps of her mother (pictured below) who is a medical doctor and an oncologist. At the time we snapped these photos, Nikoline was experiencing a dermatological infection on her feet, which mom, with minimal access to American medical treatment, was trying to cure with over-the-counter creams and ointments. Nevertheless, Nikoline graciously modeled her size 8.5 feet. We are so grateful to and proud of this young scholar.
