June 2008 – 18 year-old Aliya is a sophomore at the University of Illinois, my alma mater. She and her family were visiting Kauai Island where my wife, daughter, and I were vacationing for the 3rd year. Aliya was a very sweet girl and she radiated positive energy, as evidenced by the following pictures. I snapped these photos at Lydgate Park one late afternoon as the rest of our families stood by and watched. Aliya has size 8 feet.
