Summer 1999 - Frederika and Marcela were German tourists in Amsterdam when we met. They were baffled as to why we wanted to photograph their feet! They contemplated for a few seconds and exchanged a few German phrases between each other. They finally agreed to do it when we offered to pay them for their troubles.
